THE SHORT ANSWER

A branch comparison is meaningful only when the subscriptions, periods, product context and measure definitions are clear. Treat a difference as a question to verify with the local owner, not a performance verdict. The Admin Console supports authorised owner-level review across eligible subscriptions; it does not replace local operational records or perform branch workflows.

01 / COMPARISON PURPOSE

State the question before lining up locations side by side.

An owner may compare subscription status, a permitted operational summary or a period-specific indicator to decide where follow-up is needed. Name the question and decision first. Avoid assembling a broad ranking merely because multiple accounts can be viewed together.

The purpose determines which subscriptions, measures and people need to be involved. A comparison intended for planning may need different context from one used to resolve a specific operational exception.

02 / SCOPE & COVERAGE

Confirm which eligible subscriptions are included and which are absent.

Check the set of subscriptions represented in the view and whether any are newly added, inactive or unavailable. If one location is missing, the aggregate may not describe the whole organisation. Record exclusions and the reason they matter.

Confirm that a shared customer association is correct and current. Do not infer subscription scope from a display name alone; use the owner-approved relationship and verify unexpected accounts before circulating results.

03 / DEFINITIONS & PERIOD

Align the metric, date window and product context before interpreting a gap.

A figure can differ because one subscription uses a different period, product or data definition. Check whether the measure is a count, rate, status or financial amount and how each view calculates it. School and coaching workflows should not be forced into one definition without evidence.

Ask when the data was last updated and what filters apply. Record that context alongside the comparison so later readers do not mistake a snapshot for a current operational fact.

04 / LOCAL EXPLANATION

Take an unexpected result to the person who owns the branch record.

A difference may reflect a calendar, recent transfer, timing, a local policy or a record that needs correction. The local team can inspect source details in its own product account and explain the operational context.

The owner’s role is to ask a useful question and ensure the right person follows up. The Admin Console does not perform the local correction or initiate the branch workflow; preserve that separation in the process.

05 / FAIR INTERPRETATION

Avoid ranking institutions on a number that has no common baseline.

Locations can differ in size, programme mix, academic calendar and operating maturity. A raw total may reflect scale rather than effectiveness. Rates can also mislead when the denominator or inclusion rule differs.

Use qualitative context and the institution’s own goals. Do not use a portfolio view to make staff or learner judgements without direct evidence, clear definitions and a fair review process.

06 / COMMUNICATE & REVISIT

Present findings with limitations, owners and a review date.

When sharing a comparison, explain the scope, period, missing subscriptions and any definition differences. Separate confirmed facts from questions still being checked, then assign the follow-up to a local owner.

Revisit the same question after the agreed action, using consistent filters where possible. A careful comparison supports oversight by making uncertainty visible instead of disguising it as precision.

A FIELD GUIDE FOR YOUR TEAM

CODEPEX IN CONTEXT

Useful guidance begins with clear scope.

Admin Console oversight is separate from School ERP and Campus operational accounts. Confirm which subscriptions and information are eligible, what filters and reports are available, and how freshness is represented. The interface is not a cross-branch operational control plane.

Product-specific statements are based on the current owner-controlled capability declaration. Ask CodePex to confirm any institution-specific configuration or unlisted requirement.
